    Fall Fashion Tips 2011

Fall Fashion runways featured a variable of trends from tribal prints, rich colors such as burgundy and teal, and the return of the camel coat. Unlike past seasons of pant suits and tailored outfits, 60’s couture inspired details and ladylike silhouettes have made their way onto runways. A statement coat is a must on street styles of New York – from the classic trench coat to the very textured over sized coats (in a muted/neutral color will last you through many seasons!) Cropped wool jackets make an excellent pairing with summer’s rollover trend, the maxi dress/skirt. Instead of over sized blazers, fashionistas are trading them for cropped bombers, paired with a leg lengthening skirt or a pant. Androgyny, print, color and below-the-knee hems are the 4 major trends popping up. Harper Bazaar’s 11 ways to become Fall Trendy include: Pastel hues, modernized evening suits, capes(!!), all white outfits, pops of jade, black&yellow color combinations, warm heather grays (the new neutral), black&tan pairings, the camel coat, the reviving of the knee high boots, and an updated take on the classic leopard print. Fall fashion is all about bringing back the classic styles of the 40s, 60s, and 70s and infusing a modern take. Camel coats and knee high boots are an investment piece that will transition into any style season.
