Holy frijoles fashion fiends! It’s fashion week once again in New York City!
Ah, the best time of year when us mere mortals can stand back and lust over delicious Alexander McQueen and Yves Saint Laurent masterpieces (and maybe see a model or two slip. Kidding!) And if the hair is anything like we’ve seen in designers collections, it seems as if the 60’s are back baby, yeah!
Chanel, Gucci, Zac Posen, AND Givenchy have all boasted gorgeous, stark center parts with super sleek tresses. Looks like they were inspired by Aveda’s Smooth Infusion product line! Not only is there a shampoo and conditioner designed to give you slick, svelte hair, but paired with the Smooth Infusion Style-Prep and the Smooth Infusion Glossing Straightener (add pea size amounts of both to damp or towel dried hair), you can get the look that Karl Lagerfeld is all about this spring.Ę Just throw in that center part, and run some Aveda Light Elements Smoothing Fluid through the mid lengths for a flawless, frizz free look.
Wanting something a little more glamorous? Both Marc Jacobs and Moschino are all about that vintage poof! While Moschino has opted for some Brigitte Bardot inspired bouffants, Marc has beautifully sculpted some of the finest beehives this lady has ever seen. To help you on the way to sky-high hair, look no further than Aveda’s Pure Abundance product line.
The Pure Abundance Conditioner is made from a clay base to give hair a lift no other line can come close to touching. Spray some Pure Abundance Style-Prep onto damp hair, then work through 3-5 pumps of Aveda Phomollient before blow drying (I recommend flipping your hair upside down and blow drying for maximum lift!) Then it’s time to grab those combs ladies and tease, tease, tease! Or you can just grab some Pure Abundance Hair Potion. Friction activated, this pseudo-powder gets sprinkled right on the scalp. Use your fingers on your hair in a quick, back and forth scrubbing motion for an instant Bardot Moschino would be proud of!
