Cosmetology
The Cosmetology program at Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute Nashville gives you all the tools you’ll need to enter the beauty profession in Tennessee. Our training covers a range of beauty skills you’ll use in your career, strongly emphasizing hair care and styling using natural, plant-based Aveda products and techniques.
You’ll gain foundational knowledge in hair cutting, coloring, bleaching, toning, and relaxing; manicuring and pedicuring; and lash and brow tinting. To round out your career preparation, in addition to teaching you beauty tools and methods, we’ll also cover topics in business development, retail knowledge, and attracting and retaining clients.
Esthiology
The Esthiology program at Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute Nashville prepares you for a future as an esthetician, with expertise in using Aveda products and techniques. Our curriculum particularly emphasizes using pure flower and plant essences in treatments for maximum glow. Topics covered will prepare you for the state board exam as well as what clients expect today in skincare services, including facials, waxing, and makeup application.
Our students graduate from our Nashville campus well-equipped to take on the business and interpersonal aspects of their career, beyond the technical skills and knowledge. These include business development, retail best practices, and client relationship management.
Instructor Training
If you’re a licensed cosmetologist or esthetician looking to pass on your knowledge to others, Instructor Training might be the right program for you. The Instructor Training program at Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute Nashville gives licensed cosmetologists or estheticians the tools to become an educator in their chosen field, with a particular focus on Aveda products and techniques.
