programs offered—

choose your passion—

At the Arlington campus, students may choose from cosmetology, esthetics, and instructor training programs.

Cosmetology

This comprehensive cosmetology program prepares students to work as hair stylists, makeup artists, fashion show stylists, Aveda educators, salon managers or owners, and more.

The program covers all aspects of hair care, including hair cutting, styling, color, texture services, and chemical waves. Though hair is a significant component of the program, students also train in skin care, including facials, hair removal, and makeup application, and nail care, including pedicures and manicures. Students train both in the classroom and on the salon floor, practicing their skills on real clients under the supervision of instructors. Finally, students receive instruction in building and retaining their clientele, marketing, scheduling, and other skills essential for growing their businesses.

Esthetics

Our esthetics program utilizes the Aveda pure flower and plant essences and wellness rituals to instruct facials, waxing, makeup application, hair removal, and more. Additionally, students gain the knowledge essential to building their own businesses, from building a portfolio to growing their clientele, operating their own salons or spas, and more. Students learn in a classroom and on the clinical floor, practicing their skills on real clients under instructor supervision. Graduates can work as skincare specialists, spa directors, waxing specialists, or Aveda educators.

Instructor Training

This program trains licensed cosmetology or esthetics professionals to become part- or full-time instructors. Building on their talents in their career fields, students in this program gain insights into methods for effectively teaching future beauty professionals. The program may also give you the tools you need to qualify as a beauty guest speaker or for wellness education consultant roles.
