The campus’ proximity to local amenities can help make your time in beauty school an even smoother experience. With Costco, Sam’s Club, and H-E-B within a short drive, you can quickly take care of life’s needs after school. The local Starbucks and Sally Beauty Supply are also great stops for supplementing your learning experience—though don’t worry, your student kit will be bursting with goodies to set you up for your program.

Whether you want to kick-start a career in cosmetology for a full range of beauty training or dive straight into skincare, we have a program for you. At our Houston campus, we offer Cosmetology and Esthiology (esthetics) programs.
Cosmetology
Our Cosmetology programs combine classroom theory with extensive hands-on experience to provide a complete understanding of hair and other beauty services. For the most flexibility for different students, we offer two Cosmetology programs: one comprised of 1,000 hours, and another comprised of 1,500 hours. The 1,500-hour program builds on the basics with additional cut and color education, financial classes in the business of beauty, and more exposure to guest artists and leaders in the field.
All Cosmetology programs at Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute Houston offer instruction in cutting-edge services and techniques, including haircutting, styling, coloring, and texturizing; nail care and nail art, and makeup application, alongside must-know, business-savvy skills such as product recommendations and sales, marketing and promotion, and the art of gaining and retaining clients.
Esthiology
The Esthiology (esthetician) program at Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute Houston prepares students for a creative, successful career in skin care, covering everything from facials to makeup, waxing, and more. Our expert instructors are highly skilled in all areas of esthetics and love to share their experience and knowledge with our students. Our curriculum also covers other essential topics, including client care, state laws related to the skincare profession, and salon management.
Instructor Training
The Instructor Training curriculum is designed to prepare licensed cosmetologists or estheticians for the State licensing examination as an educator. Students will learn the science of teaching and enhance their skills in all aspects of their chosen fields. Upon graduation and licensing students will be qualified to teach full or part-time cosmetology or esthiology in a licensed school.
