At Aveda Arts and Sciences Institutes, we are committed to providing equal opportunities for individuals who are passionate about the beauty industry.
Our Anthony Fantroy Scholarship program has been developed to motivate and support college-aged students who may not otherwise have the resources to pursue post-secondary education.
This scholarship program is named after our Aveda Arts Dallas Educator, Anthony Fantroy, who was an integral part of our culture and student experience for over nine years until his passing in September 2019. The Anthony Fantroy Scholarship program honors his legacy and supports future generations of students.
What makes this scholarship program unique is that it considers a student’s background as a final criterion for award determination. The scholarship is designed specifically to assist students from economically disadvantaged families and backgrounds.
For our 2023 scholarship, three winners were chosen from our Baton Rouge, Dallas, and Minneapolis institutes. “Winning the Anthony Fantroy Scholarship means so much to me,” shared Baton Rouge winner, Monica Monroe. “I feel beyond grateful to be given such an amazing opportunity,”
“There was a time I didn’t even think I’d be able to attend school, so this scholarship means the absolute world to me and my future,” shared Dallas winner, Noura Al Turkistani.
“The opportunity of being a winner of the Anthony Fantory memorial scholarship was breathtaking & emotional but very rewarding!I never imagined my Talent strong Desire, Ambition, Compassion, Thoughtfulness, and wanting to Contribute and stand out in the world by A calling to give back while remaining my real raw and uncut self with my diverse backgrounds would bring forth and create such an amazing I am truly grateful and blessed that. It reminded me I can make a way and to never stop dreaming or trying and to never give up! I’ve had a strong appeal to advance my skills in the beauty industry, I would love to own my own business and grow in business and as person while also working with and teaching others one day. I am interested in helping my community and making EVERYONE feel happy, comfortable, and proud of themselves in their skin and with diverse textures but to also recognize their own beauty and capabilities. This scholarship enables our students to pursue their dreams without financial stress. We are thrilled to see these students embark on new journeys and are excited to see what their future holds. We will announce more scholarship opportunities in the future, so stay tuned!
