Beauty with a purpose? That’s exactly what Catwalk for Water is all about. Every year, our Catwalk for Water Scholarship challenges aspiring beauty artists to think sustainably and create boldly. Participants design a full fashion look inspired by clean water, environmental justice, and sustainability, showing that beauty can make an impact.
Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. From the products we use to the way we teach, we believe in creating beauty with a conscience.
Each Catwalk submission reflected not only the students’ artistic flair but their passion for a more beautiful, sustainable future in the beauty industry. With fashion shows hosted across Aveda Arts campuses and scholarship awards recognizing outstanding talent, Catwalk for Water 2025 made a splash—and it’s just the beginning.
Competitors also submitted a 500-word essay or video, sharing their passion for the beauty industry and their dreams of studying Cosmetology or Esthiology at Aveda Arts. Scholarships were awarded in multiple categories, including Best Hair, Best Makeup, Best Outfit, Best Interview, and Overall Winner.
The grand finale of the competition was our fashion show where participants took the stage to debut their incredible creations, ending with an announcement of our winners.
“I am overwhelmed with joy and gratitude to have won this scholarship,” shared Aveda Arts Austin winner, Destinee McBake. “To me, this means more investment into my education and I’m so excited to begin this journey.”
