Follow your passion for hair care, skin care, or teaching with our programs at Aveda Arts & Science Institute Lafayette. Our Cosmetology program is designed for those who’ve dreamed of cutting, styling, and designing hair or providing a range of beauty services such as facials, makeup, or nail art. Our Esthiology program prepares students for esthetician careers to renew skin and apply makeup. Instructor training trains licensed specialists to teach and share their knowledge with others.
Cosmetology
Our comprehensive Cosmetology program combines across-the-board hair training (cutting, styling, coloring, texturizing, and more) with training in other beauty disciplines. This program is a great match for aspiring stylists who want to be able to do it all for their clients or adapt to the services most in demand. Learn the technical, personal, and business skills necessary to work as a cosmetologist, salon manager, salon owner, and many other beauty jobs.
In addition to classroom theory training and instructor-led skills training, you’ll get hands-on experience in the student clinic with the close supervision of your teachers. In this supportive environment, you’ll apply your newfound skills and learn to build relationships with clients.

Esthiology
Calling all skincare fans: Follow your passion and help your clients glow up with world-class training from our Esthiology (esthetician) program. Learn to create that real-world spa experience through facials, waxing, makeup application, and skin balancing and wellness techniques.
At Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute Lafayette, prepare for a career in one of the fastest-growing disciplines within the world of beauty. You’ll learn applicable skills for the esthetician state licensing exam. But far beyond this, you’ll emerge from this program with an arsenal of skin wellness and renewal methods, all based on Aveda’s high-performance, plant-based products loved the world over.

Instructor Training
For aspiring future educators, Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute Lafayette offers a program for future educators. Licensed cosmetologists, estheticians, or manicurists with one year of experience are eligible for this program to share their knowledge and skills with other aspiring professionals.
Grow and share your passion and talents by learning the science of teaching. You’ll learn valuable instructional methods and sharpen your skills by studying additional techniques. After graduating and becoming licensed in teaching, you’ll qualify as a part-time or full-time educator.
