choose your passion—
Our Charlotte campus offers programs in Cosmetology, Esthiology, and Instructor Training. Different class schedules offer a lot of flexibility, so you can choose what works for your lifestyle the best.
Cosmetology
Students enrolled in Cosmetology at Charlotte enter a comprehensive program that teaches hair cutting, shaping, coloring, and chemical waving, creating manicures and pedicures, providing facials, applying makeup, and removing hair. Students engage in three types of learning: theoretical knowledge, practical (hands-on) experience, and professional business-building. To pave the way for you to grow your earning potential, the curriculum also covers business development, including client recruitment and retention.
Our team’s goal is to prepare students for their future careers. The instruction includes all topics on the North Carolina professional licensing exam. Our grads become part of the next generation of beauty pros as cosmetologists, hair stylists, nail artists, salon managers, or even salon owners. Many of our alumni come back to the fold and work in Aveda salons or retail settings.
Esthiology
Our Esthiology program trains future esthetician (skincare) professionals. Utilizing the Aveda line of pure flower and plant essences and wellness rituals, our graduates have the knowledge and skills to perform facials, waxes, and makeup applications to provide an elevated Aveda spa experience.
Our esthetics students also gain practical skills in starting and growing their businesses and becoming knowledgeable in Aveda’s well-known retail product line. With both classroom and hands-on learning, you can gain the necessary foundational skills to work as a facial or skincare specialist, waxing specialist, spa director, wellness consultant, or even Aveda educator.
Instructor Training
The Charlotte campus’ Instructor Training program prepares licensed estheticians or cosmetologists to work as licensed instructors in their fields. Imagine bringing your industry knowledge about the art and science of cosmetology or ethetics to new students—students who were sitting in your shoes not long ago. Our instruction prepares you to be a full-time or part-time instructor at a cosmetology or esthetician school in North Carolina.
