New York Esthiology

We’ve designed our Esthiology program with our trademark all-vegan Aveda products and wellness rituals in mind. You’ll learn a variety of essential beauty topics and techniques, including facials, hair removal, makeup, aromatherapy, and more. Every Esthiology student at our NYC campus can learn to successfully provide a complete spa experience to their future clients, including facials, waxing, makeup application, and more. 

The program is split across several subject areas, with over one-third of the training (225 hours) dedicated to facials and body procedures. Classes also cover anatomy and physiology (30 hours), makeup techniques (70 hours), and hair removal (60 hours). Beyond skincare skills, you’ll be exposed to other topics that ensure you’re ready to jump into your new esthetician career, such as business practices, nutrition, and infection control. 

You’ll combine classroom learning with hands-on experience and lab time and have plenty of opportunities to practice your new techniques during extracurricular activities such as fashion shows, charity fundraisers, and more. 

Our 600-hour Esthiology program at our New York City campus can be taken full-time, part-time, or with an evening schedule. 

The full-time schedule takes 27 weeks, with 22.5 hours of weekly training. Training takes place Monday through Wednesday, or Thursday to Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. There is a one-hour break for lunch each day. 

The part-time schedule takes 38 weeks to complete, and you can expect 16 hours of training per week. Classes take place Sunday through Monday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. As with the full-time schedule, a one-hour lunch is included each day. 

The evening schedule also takes 38 weeks to complete, with 16 hours of training per week. Classes take place Monday through Thursday, from 5:45 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. 

To enroll in the Esthiology program at our New York City campus, you must meet the following requirements: 

Age: 16 years 

Education: High school diploma or equivalent 

Other Requirements: Pay relevant fees, complete an interview, and submit a letter of recommendation, proof of U.S. citizenship or lawful status, and your Social Security number
