The Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute – Nashville Instructor Training program prepares licensed beauty professionals for both the state educator exam and for teaching roles after graduation. Throughout the program, you can hone new skills while exploring the science of teaching and learning how to lead in the classroom. Upon graduation, you can teach cosmetology, esthiology, and manicuring, depending on your specialty, or train new teachers.
The curriculum for our Instructor Training program in Nashville covers the science of teaching, teaching methods, and developing course plans and instructional aids. You’ll receive a thorough grounding in how to create a learning environment. By the end of the program, our instructors-in-training receive 100 hours of supervised practice teaching.
how long does it take? —
The Instructor Training program at our Nashville campus consists of 300 hours and takes 10 weeks to complete (at 31.25 hours per week).
