Cosmetology
Cosmetology is the science and art of making people look their best, with hair services being the main component of the program. At Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute Seattle, we offer a comprehensive curriculum where students learn updated techniques in everything from hair styling and shaping to coloring and texture services.
You’ll gain technical proficiency as you move through our program—but we don’t stop there. Plan to spend significant time working alongside your peers tackling topics in both theory and practice.
Our stellar instructor team lives up to Aveda’s wellness and sustainability mission while underscoring the value of client relations and effective business practices. Upon graduation, successful students have the skills needed to secure their state cosmetology license and jumpstart their careers as the next generation of skilled cosmetologists.
Esthetics
Our Esthetics program at Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute Seattle offers essential skincare training for students passionate about purifying and balancing clients’ skin.
Our esthetics curriculum dives into the science of skincare, introducing everything from facials to waxing and body treatments. You’ll encounter both the theory and hands-on training under the watchful eye of our skilled instructors. Additionally, we prioritize effective wellness practices and the value of environmentally friendly products.
Alongside developing proficiencies in esthetics, we strive to prepare our students with the practical skills to secure their first esthetician job after graduation. From goal setting and job searching to resume and interview prep, we’ve got you covered.
Instructor Training
The Instructor Training curriculum is designed to prepare licensed cosmetologists or estheticians for the State licensing examination as an educator. Students will learn the science of teaching and enhance their skills in all aspects of their chosen fields. Upon graduation and licensing students will be qualified to teach full or part-time cosmetology or esthiology in a licensed school.
