OUR ESTHIOLOGY CURRICULUM
The curriculum of our Esthetics program at the Seattle campus covers theoretical and practical knowledge and skills through three distinct phases: earth, fire, and infinity.
The earth phase offers an introduction to facials. Covering 285 hours, you’ll explore facials and masks, massage basics, skin physiology, and anatomy and physiology. You also dive into the attributes of a healthy mind and body and other essential topics like client care and the spa experience.
The fire phase, also 285 training hours, is dedicated to waxing and body treatments. You will learn essential skills in facials, makeup theory, hair removal theory, exfoliation, and chemistry and product knowledge.
The infinity phase encompasses 180 hours and is the culmination of your Esthetics journey, preparing you to take Washington’s state certification exam. In addition to test preparation, we cover a broad range of topics that will help you in your career, such as job searching, client services, business development, and interview preparation.

How long does it take?
Our Esthetics program at Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute Seattle runs for roughly 27 weeks. You’ll complete 750 training hours at 28.5 hours per week. On-campus classes take place Monday through Wednesday from 8 am to 6 pm.

To enroll in the Esthetics program at our Seattle campus, you must meet the following requirements:
Age: 16
Education: High school diploma or GED
Other Requirements: Submit a $100 application fee, proof of age, proof of education, social security card, letter of recommendation, letter of intent.
