At Aveda Arts & Sciences Institutes, we live to see our students succeed in their new careers. Launching a career doesn’t begin right before graduation. What we provide inside and outside the classroom through your entire time in our program is geared to help you thrive professionally.
Along with beauty and wellness skills, our programs include essential instruction in career and business skills, which can include how to market and promote yourself, how to make retail sales, and how to grow your clientele.
In addition, we host career fairs and charity events where students can put their skills to use. Through our unparalleled network of guest artists and Aveda salons and spas, we can connect star students with establishments on the lookout for new talent.
Career Paths for Aveda Arts Graduates
There’s no one single path for an Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute grad. Our alumni are accomplished in many industries, making waves in their day-to-day work locally, nationally, or globally.
Our graduates may find careers as hair stylists or makeup or nail artists in salons, at resorts, as freelancers with private clients, or backstage in fashion or theatre and film production. They may be charting new ground with skincare products or medspa technology, or as respected massage therapists at the forefront of their field. Some of our alumni own their own beauty businesses spanning everything from boutique salons to beauty influencer content publishing.
Some of our grads also end up working for Aveda as educators, helping the next generation of beauty and wellness professionals.
Aveda Arts Industry Days
Every Aveda Arts & Sciences Institutes location hosts in-person career fairs, also known as ‘Industry Days’.
Industry Days provide a great way for businesses to connect with our Aveda Arts & Sciences students and introduce them to possibilities after earning their license. At these, students meet with business representatives and other professionals and attend workshops, allowing them to expand their network and perhaps meet that perfect employer.
These career fairs are also a great way for salons, spas, and other prospective employers to meet rising talent early on in their professional journey and start building relationships with potential future employees.

Alumni are also invited to attend our Industry Days and are encouraged to share their industry experiences with our current students.
