Whether you left college, shifted careers, or faced challenges that changed your plans, this scholarship helps you begin the path you were meant for.

Your Scholarship Opportunity
• Up to $2,000 toward Cosmetology program tuition
• Up to $1,000 toward Esthiology/Esthetics program tuition

Who This Scholarship Supports
College Pivoters
Students who started college, realized it wasn’t the right environment, and are craving a more inspired, creative, hands-on education.
Career Changers
Individuals who’ve worked in another field—healthcare, service, retail, office work, anything—and are ready to build a future that aligns with their passion.
Empowered Candidates
Students facing financial challenges or life circumstances such as recent job loss, low income, medical or caregiving responsibilities. You may not qualify for Pell Grants, but you still deserve a chance to pursue the education that could change your life.
Eligibility Criteria
Financial Need
This scholarship is designed for students who do not qualify for Federal Pell Grants but still demonstrate financial need or hardship.
To qualify:
• FAFSA Field 571 must indicate:
“This transaction determined ineligible for a Federal Pell Grant.”
• Income or household criteria slightly above Pell thresholds
• Must meet Aveda Arts admissions requirements
This scholarship supports students who don’t fit the typical financial-aid box—but clearly need an accessible path forward.
Eligible Start Dates
January • April • June • November / 2026 – 2027
(Not available for August/September cohorts.)
How to Apply
To complete your application, you will need to:
1. Submit a Short Video (1 minute)
Show your beauty or wellness routine OR your personal beauty look.
Explain how this scholarship would benefit your journey.
2. Provide One Letter of Recommendation
Someone outside your family who can speak to your compassion, thoughtfulness, work ethic, and contribution to others.
3. Share Your Path So Far
Choose one:
• Upload proof of prior college enrollment
OR
• Write a brief paragraph about your previous career path
4. Submit Your Application Form
Upload all materials before the deadline for your chosen start date.

Fine Print
The Aveda Arts Second Chance Scholarship is awarded as a tuition discount for students enrolling at participating Aveda Arts & Sciences Institutes. Recipients must complete their state-required program hours to receive the full scholarship. Standard enrollment and scholarship acknowledgment terms apply.
Honoring a Legacy
This scholarship is presented in loving memory of Anthony Fantroy—a cherished member of our Aveda Arts family whose spirit of kindness, resilience, and mentorship impacted countless lives. Anthony believed deeply in lifting others up and helping them find their path, no matter where they started.
We carry his legacy forward by supporting students who embody that same determination, courage, and heart.
