Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute New Orleans is located in the suburb of Metairie. Our campus is located off the I-10 at the Causeway Blvd. exit, with a large parking lot behind the school and a bus stop in front of the school. We’re a ready commute from nearby areas, including the city of New Orleans, Jefferson, Gretna, Westbank, Kenner, and New Orleans East.
The campus is in a modern two-story building that houses classrooms and a large clinic floor, where students can practice their skills on clients, and several private spa rooms, where esthetics students can hone their skills in a space that simulates a real-world spa. Warm lighting in both the retail store and learning areas create a welcoming environment for clients and students alike.
The school is conveniently located on Veterans Memorial Blvd, one of the city’s busiest commercial streets—so your busy lifestyle doesn’t have to skip a beat while you attend beauty school. There’s international cuisine, multiple Starbucks locations, a Target, and banks just a short distance away. Our campus is next door to Whole Foods and across the street from Lakeside Mall, where students often enjoy going for lunch. Trader Joe’s is also just a 5-minute drive away.

Cosmetology
Do you love following influencers for the latest hair design and dream of making beauty a career you love? The Cosmetology program at Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute New Orleans prepares graduates for a wide range of roles as a beauty specialist or generalist, with hair styling as the key component of the curriculum.
Our carefully designed program covers hair cutting and design, color, tinting and bleaching, as well as perms and relaxers. Basic facials and manicuring rounds out the skills you’ll need as a budding beauty talent. We place particular emphasis on Aveda techniques and products: the natural, 100% vegan products using pure plant and flower essences beloved by beauty aficionados worldwide.
