Why Aveda?
I chose Aveda because the school and company as a whole always impressed me. I always loved coming to the institute and always seeing happy students and staff who were always so welcoming. After I won the Catwalk for water scholarship, I knew it was meant to be for me to attend Aveda institute.
Why Hair?
I chose hair because as a little girl I would always watch my grandmother do hair in the salon and it always made me so happy to watch and learn from her. My passion for hair all started in her salon at a very young age.
Favorite skill?
My favorite skill would have to be color and highlight services. I love seeing such a change and being able to create something that is my very own. I plan to further my knowledge with color.
After Aveda?
After Aveda I plan to work in an Aveda Salon for a few years. One day I want to own my very own Aveda salon. I am so excited to see where the beauty industry takes me and what the future holds for me.
Advice for peers
My advice to peers would be to get up each morning and try to be as positive as you can. Once you develop a positive mindset, your day will flow much better and your clients will enjoy your presence and energy that much more.
