Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute Covington is excited to recognize Desiree Washam as our June Student of the Month!

Desiree comes in everyday with a positive attitude and eager to learn. As one of the educator’s put it, “she has never missed a day of school, she is willing to take on *anything,* she is a hard worker, and studies every night. In my opinion, even though she is in Salon Concepts, she is head-and-shoulders above most masters students and she stays cool under pressure.”
Desiree chose Aveda because of how she felt when she stepped inside. From the Aveda culture to the genuine care and respect for guests and the environment, she automatically knew this is where she belongs. Before pursuing her education with the Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute, Desiree graduated from Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs Arkansas.  She participated in Beta club throughout her high school years and maintained a GPA at 3.9.
