Congratulation to Amanda Shambeck for being Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute Dallas’s March Student of the Month!
Amanda had always wanted to do hair ever since she was in high school but went to pursue her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology right after she graduated. She worked in her field for 3 years and was in the process of applying to Graduate School before coming to tour Aveda. Amanda was on the wait list to Grad School two times when she started to tour Cosmetology schools. When she toured Aveda, she knew instantly this was the right school for her.
Amanda is currently in Master’s and has started working with Jovie Salon. Her new position has given her new motivation for the industry. Amanda has participated in the Breast Cancer Awareness Fashion Show, Cat Walk for Water 2015 Show, and recently finished her Master’s Photo Shoot. While in school, Amanda along with her classmate, went on to get certified in Xtreme Lashes Eyelash Extensions.
Amanda is looking forward to working in the salon, being booked solid, and having amazing relationships with her guests. A big thanks goes out to her parents who have been huge motivators throughout this journey. Always reminding Amanda to take every guest/every day as a learning experience and to move forward. A special thank you to her fiancé who never complains on how busy she can be and who supports her whole heartedly to pursue her passion.
Amanda is highly respected by her peers and her educators. She is a great team player, passionate and disciplined stylist in training. She just has this amazing attitude and we love being around her!
