We’re so excited to celebrate Dustin Dillard as our February Student of the Month!

Dustin just finished Intro and has left a big impression on his educators, classmates and models. He is eager to learn and perfect his craft. When he watches demonstrations, you can see his wheels spinning. He is not afraid to tackle “advanced” techniques or to learn in the moment.

Dustin grew up in the sleepy west Texas town of Sonora, He graduated a Bronco from Sonora High School and went on to graduate as an Aggie from Texas A&M with a BBA in marketing.

He has been a loyal Aveda enthusiast for many, many years. He loves and applauds the brand, product and organic platform. As for the education aspect, he feels Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute Houston has an impeccable reputation, network and team of educators.

Post graduation Dustin desires to be part of a reputable, high end salon with continuing education opportunities to perfect his craft. His primary focus is to become a hair color expert/magician. His long term goal would be to own/operate his own salon, continuing to build and strengthen his own color brand and flavor.

Dustin’s advice for future students; “Never lose your passion or curiosity. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, and be sure to come to class and get the most out of your education.”

His favorite Aveda product is the men’s grooming clay, it has been in his daily routine for a long time. He also loves the repair that the Damage Remedy line offers.
