    Lafayette’s November Student Spotlight

Kelly Babineaux was chosen to be our student of the month for November!

    Lafayette Student Lafayette Student

Kelly is graduating from our Esthiology program December 2016. She has a very enthusiastic, fun personality and is well known at our institute. She is positive and can bring a smile to everyone’s face. Kelly attended Opelousas High School and graduated in 2000. She has three beautiful children; 12,8, & 4.

Outside of school, she enjoys time with her family, fishing, and partying with good people. Kelly is always willing to go above and beyond to make things run smoothly. She is always showing up with a genuine smile and is welcoming. Based on the way she treats others with attention and care, she will be a great asset to any employer!

    Why Aveda?
I actually considered other schools, but I chose Aveda because it felt like home. It felt natural and comfortable for me. I was welcomed with open arms and that’s the kind of environment I wanted to be a part of. I felt that Aveda would be more dedicated to my success, as an esthetician all around and would prepare me for the real world of beauty.

    Why Esthi?
Initially, I chose esthiology because I wanted and loved to do make up. I love everything about making someone look beautiful on the outside. Now, with the knowledge I’ve gained about the skin and how it works, I realized I want to do more. I want to help people understand their skin and treat the underlying issues and in return make them feel even more beautiful outside as well as in.

    Favorite skill?
I would have to say my favorite skill would be makeup application. It allows you to be creative, original, and to transform someone’s physical appearance and help boost their confidence. Makeup can enhance your beauty and allow you to be whatever you want to be.

    After Aveda?
My plan after Aveda is to gain employment in a medical spa. I want to get as much training as possible in order to perfect my craft, so that I can grow in the beauty industry as it continues to grow also.

    Advice for peers:
Never stop learning!! There are so many avenues to take with learning: YouTube, additional training, books, etc. Keep on learning all that you can. Also, always surround yourself with positive people and thoughts.
