Last week, Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute Birmingham welcomed 24 new students to the Cosmetology program and 17 new students to the Esthiology program. Director, Angela Leigh is excited for the new students to embark on their new journey towards a successful and exciting career in the beauty industry. Most students are high school graduates from local schools including Spain Park High School, Hoover High School, Vestavia High School, Huffman High School, Pelham High School, Helena High School, and Springville High School.

We asked new Esthiology student, Lori Slack about her experience at Camp Aveda.

“My experience at Aveda so far has been so amazing! I have learned so much about myself, Aveda, and the environment itself. Aveda is a lot more than just a school or a job; Aveda is a lifestyle and a family.

I chose to join the Aveda family because of all their beliefs as well as their ranking in Esthiology schools. I want to follow my dreams, but even better, I want to change the world. What better way than to join a company with the same goals?”
