Congratulations to Abbie Dean for being Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute Birmingham’s April Student of the Month!

Abbie Dean was chosen as Aveda Arts & Sciences Institutes Birmingham’s student of the  month due to her exceptional work ethic and dedication to the industry and Aveda culture. This shines through with her amazing retail average of $17.10 per guest last month. She has one of the highest attendance percentages and continues to improve on her professional behaviors every day. She is about to begin her journey as a Masters level student.

After doing some research on Cosmetology schools she came across Aveda and liked what she read. Abbie chose Aveda based on the mission and culture of the company. Once she stepped foot in the institute she knew that this was the right place for her. She loves that the products come from natural ingredients and that everything is healthy for your body. Before coming to Aveda and using other product lines, she has now seen the huge difference that Aveda products make with her hair and skin. Some of her absolute favorite products are the

Since struggling with self-confidence and her weight in high school, her goal is to make other people feel pretty and confident. After losing over 40 lbs and changing her habits to live a healthier life she feels better than ever. This is her favorite thing about being a hair stylist, having an impact on people’s lives.
