This scholarship program has been developed to motivate and support college aged students who may not otherwise have the resources to pursue postsecondary education. What sets this program apart from more traditional scholarship opportunities is the emphasis on a student’s background and personal history as criteria for the final award determination.

Have a - 1500 SAI (Student Aid Index)
- - This number is assigned based on completion of the FAFSA. An Admissions Manager can help you complete this free application this to determine your SAI.

Has received (or family member has received) one or more of the following Federal Benefits within the last year? *as noted on FAFSA:

- Earned Income Credit (EIC)
- Federal housing assistance
- Free or reduced-price school lunch
- Medicaid
- Refundable credit for coverage under a qualified health plan (QHP)
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (QHP)
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
- Special Supplemental Nutrition Programs for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)

- Maintain Satisfactory Academic and Attendance Progress (SAP) throughout the course
- Complete state hour requirement of the program to receive full scholarship. If the student terminates or is terminated from the program, the student will be financially responsible for the hourly tuition rate of all hours earned plus the kit and termination fee.
how to apply—
- Submit a video of you demonstrating your own beauty/wellness routine and/or demonstrating your own personal look. Share why this scholarship would benefit you.
- Submit a letter of recommendation from someone outside of your family that illustrates how you exhibit the qualities of compassion, thoughtfulness and contribution.
- Each applicant should fill out the form to the right & submit the video and letter of recommendation by January 3, 2025.
- 3 winners (one per region) will be selected by January 10th, 2025 and begin in the January/February 2025 Cosmetology class. If the winner is still in high school, he/she may start in the June 2025 Cosmetology class.
about Anthony Fantroy—
Anthony was one of our most tenured Educators at Aveda Arts & Sciences Institutes Dallas and was a huge part of our culture and the student experience in Dallas for more than 9 years before he passed away in September 2019.
Anthony had a strong and positive influence on students in his class, as well as the entire student body and faculty. Education is the gift that lasts a lifetime, and this memorial scholarship program will continue Anthony’s legacy forward to future generations of students.
